I’ve been working at zocalo for 5 1/2 years and I love it.As a foreigner, it’s like being in my hometown because Zocalo is not Mexican – is MEXICO 
. In these five years I’ve learned a lot, and shared my culture with my co-workers and costumers. It’s felt like an extended family, with all the people who’ve seen me grow over this time, and through all the strong relationships I’ve built. I always say that I’m lucky to have this job, but I truly think I’m blessed!!! I enjoy every day at work because I know that every shift is going to be different and there’s something new to learn. In a few words, meeting all the nice people- and the learning and sharing – makes Zocalo very special to me and the best place to work.

Congrats on 5+ years, Maria! Every time I see you at Zocalo, you are always working so hard but never fail to wear a smile. Watching you work the packed banquet room by yourself during the World Cup was pretty impressive … cuidate!
