The Sacramento Kings are inviting all fans to join them for the “NBA’s GREATEST Draft Lottery Party” on Tuesday, May 18, in Midtown Sacramento on 18th Street between L and Capitol.
Come celebrate in the beautiful ambiance of Zocalo in Midtown and support our Sacramento Kings. The block party-style event is free to the public and starts at 4 p.m. The live ESPN telecast of the NBA Draft Lottery begins at 4:30 p.m. The Lottery will be shown on a giant outdoor screen for all fans to see, and the party will include prize giveaways, the Sacramento Kings Dance Team, the Sacramento Kings Breakers, special VIP guests and special offers from Midtown-area vendors.
Out of the 14 teams in the Lottery, the Kings have the third-best odds of receiving the number one pick in the Draft. Last year, the Kings received the fourth pick in the Draft and selected Tyreke Evans, who went on to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award and finished the season as only the fourth player in NBA history to average at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists per game in a rookie season, joining Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
